CU overlays
I created (ha, I start a lot of topics like that... must find something else to start with LOL) a set of 5 heart-overlays. You can create your own papers with it, and the best part... it's CU ok!
So go check it out in one of my stores: Scrappy Thoughts or Scrapping Whispers.
And of course, I made a freebie to match, I was in a good mood I guess! Hearts do that to you ;) Download by clicking the preview, and don't forget to leave a message when you do! I see a lot of downloads, and just a few messages...
Awesome August!

I created a desktop-challenge-add-on (cool word!) for the Scrappy Thoughts forum. You can find the download here, create something nice and show me!
I also made a freebie to go with it: a quickpage. Download by clicking the preview!
Scrapping Whispers
Come check me out at Scrapping Whispers, tonight I uploaded my first item there! Off course, many will folow LOL This one you allready knew, it's my CrazyGoat-kit.
Psssstttt.... remember the sale I have at Scrappy Thoughts? For my birthday, 28% off!! That reminds me: 2 of you didn't leave their e-mailadresses in the birthdaywish, so I couldn't send you your gifts. Please contact me if this was you!
And then, I got an amazing LO from Deb, my one and only CT-member. She got her hands on the KissMe minikit (the one with the frog, scroll down if you're interested!), and made this:

Isn't it gorgeous? Yes, the princess too LOL, love the glasses! Deb used my template SmallThings for this one. (hint: grab it fast, since it's free FOR NOW)
Ok, last thing I'm going to say before I crash into bed (again I didn't make it before midnight...): if you scroll way down you can find the blogs of the other ScrappingWhisper-designers, check them out too!

playing in The Sandbox
At FunkyplaygroundDesigns, they're having a 'designer-course'. I don't know what to call it exactly, but I spoke earlier about the Sandbox. I got to play! This is my finished kit, you can get it here. BUT you need to be a subscriber to the FPD newsletter to get the password to unlock the zip. Follow me? So go over there QUICK and snag this AND other freebies! YAY! Oh, and don't forget to leave me some love, I love love LOL
As an add-on-freebie for this kit, I created a KissMe-alpha. Click preview to download!

another Scrappy Thoughts designer
If you like flowers and leaves as much as I do, than you should check out this blog: La tête dans le scrap. Don't worry, she writes in English too ;)
She has 2 amazing new products in store, check the previews below!
Me, I'm working very hard at my 1st asignment at The Sandbox. It's really pulling my strings, it's on my mind constantly... Nearly done (and it has to be done by july 31st, so I'll have to hurry!) Luckily I finished my new kit AwesomeAugust earlier, but it won't come in store 'till August 1st LOL. You can get parts of it at the Scrappy Thoughts forum, so subscribe now and look for the August desktop challenge. More info on the 1st, just a little sneak preview for now!

Farheen at Opal Scraps has a great freebie for you at her blog, go check it out! I soooo love her work, especially her doodles, so I offered to do some CT work for her. You saw my LO's in the previous post, didn't you?

Click on the image to pay her a visit, and leave her some love!
I'll be attending a Speedscrap (my first ever!) later this evening (3.00 pm EST is 9.00 pm for me), and I'm also attending a 'designer-workshop' in The Sandbox. I have to finish a mini-kit before july 31st... So, back to work!!

Make it match
Sunshiny Scrapper hosts a wonderful challenge at the Scrappy Thoughts forum, it's called Make it Match! You'll have to design a paper and element with the theme she comes up with. This months theme was 'summer'. When I think of summer, I think of butterflies. So I came up with this!

You can find the download link at the forum, so go there and subscribe LOL
I used a satin ribbon by Gunhild Storeide, she's great!
By the way, thanks for all your birthday wishes, I sent you all your gift! Please let me know what you think of it ;)
For next month, I'll be hosting a new challenge, you'll get to create your own desktop! I'm designing a matching kit at the moment, parts of it you'll get for participating in this challenge. I named the kit AwesomeAugust, and now I'm asking myself WHY I did that! Now the kit has to be finished by August 1st off course... I'm struggling to get it done!

OMG2
I have to say it, again and again... OMG! I have to pinch myself, to check I'm not dreaming all of this. But I'm not, it's really happening to me!
Tonight, I got myself my first CT-member. You all have seen the LO's from Deb, right? She sent me the LO's she made with my freebie-kits. I felt she HAD to be on my CT, and luckily she said yes!!
She also sent me some LO's tonight, made with my stuff. Isn't she great??

credits: SumSumSummer kit and PiecesofPaper template. Grab this stuff for free while you can, I don't know what I'll be throwing in my shop! (Don't you just love the sticking-out-foot? I do!!)

And then, another OMG-moment. I got accepted by another store!! In short time, I'll be selling at Scrapping Whispers too, isn't that great?! Now, I'll be of designing again. I don't know when the next freebie will be up, so be sure to subscribe to my blog. You can find the subscriptionfield at the left-top of the blog. You'll be notified if I add something new!

Scrappy Thoughts
I'm glad to announce I am now a designer at Scrappy Thoughts. I'm so glad they gave me this change, and would like to thank them. Thanks girls!!
This doesn't mean there will be no more freebies, but it does mean I will discontinue some 'old' freebies. Future freebies will contain samples of kits you can buy in my store. Yay that sounds good!
There are no items in my store yet, but there will be, so check it out! You can find the shop here, and there's a nice forum attatched (with fun challenges, come join us!), you'll find it here.
I'm happy!!

new template and a tut
This is a tutorial-special for Carol from Brazil :D
I created another template called Around the Block (I was inspired by a challenge at Snap and Scrap, go check them out!) and am including a tutorial on how to use them. Enjoy!

First of all: my templates are in psd-format, which means they can be used in Adobe Photoshop. When you downloaded the file, and open it, you will see something like this:

There are 2 layers you need to read, and then make invisible. You can do that by either clicking on the eye in front of the layername, or by right-clicking with the mouse, and then choose 'delete layer'. After you do that, you'll have the template ready to use.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Step 2:
Open a paper you would like to use as your background. Hold ctrl+A to select the paper and then hold ctrl+C to copy it (or use your own way of selecting and copying). Go back to the template, make sure you click on the layer that is labeled 'background' (this layer-name becomes blue).

-------------------------------------------------------------
Step 3:
now hold ctrl+V to paste the paper onto the background. It should look something like this.

-------------------------------------------------------------
Step 4:
Open a paper you would like to use in one of the blocks. For small blocks it's nice to use patterned papers. Here's what I chose:

Again: hold ctrl+A and ctrl+C to select and copy.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Step 5:
Go back to your template, make sure you select the right layer with the block you want to fill (by clicking on it and making it blue). Hold ctrl+V to paste the paper onto your template.

It should look like this, don't be scared! The things below the paper aren't gone, check the next step.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Step 6:
Remember the clipping mask from the last tutorial? If not, check it here. You'll need this info to go on.
We are going to clip the patterned paper to the block. Hold the alt-button on your keyboard, and click between the layers of the patterned paper and the block. The patterned paper should be on top of the block you want to fill. When you clip them together, it should look like this:

Continue this process with other papers or with photo's, it works in the same way.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Step 7:
Now play with some other items, you don't have to leave the template in the exact way you downloaded it. Make it your own, by adding journaling, your own title (just double click on the title-layer and type away) and elements. The template is only a way to inspire you to create a unique layout. In the end it could look like this:

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions please let me know!

SumSumSummer flowers
I'm a bit busy, working hard at finishing another book with LO's of Leonie. I have 40 pages finished by now, so a little more (and a front and back LO), and I can order it to print!
For the SumSumSummer-kit I created some summer-flowers. Download by clicking the preview, as usual!

And the lovely Deb sent me another one of her LO's! She's great, isn't she?

She used my It's Magic! kit, Template 16 by Droopette and WordArt By DizzyBlondeScraps
She wrote: another page of my sweet granddaughter. Your star paper was perfect for the pic!!

Sit back and look back
Wow, I just saw it's my 1-month-freebie-anniversary! OMG Time flies when you're having fun... In 1 month time I designed anything that has been laying in the back of my mind for so long. Now it's all coming out, and you're my victims.
When I uploaded my first freebie (a desktop-template) I didn't think anyone would be interested in my designs. Nobody knew me, right? And now, 1 month later, I can see I get visitors from all over the world (thanks FeedJit), and I already used 15% of my 4Shared-account.
I created some full-previews for my kits, just 'cause I thought they deserved it. I want to thank everybody who has ever left a comment (either here or on 4Shared) or sent me an e-mail. I highly appreciate it, and I will keep designing whatever I feel like. Word-art, kits, templates, QP's or alpha's, I'm learning something new every day! Please keep sending your love and your LO's, it keeps me going!

Deb: thanks again!
LO's by mail
Today I got another e-mail from Deb (aka Cra-Z-cat). She made 2 LO's using my stuff (OMG, that sounds só cool, 'my stuff'... I just started designing!). Here's her stunning work!

Watch out for the alpha-wave!
This contains some alpha's I did a while a go, as well as new alpha's, but I thought maybe you would like to have them. Download by clicking the preview!

A alu-style-alpha, would be nice with black-and-white LO's

Part of my kit Bright Colors. Has glitter on it, but it's hard to see in the preview.

A colorful alpha with candy!

A pink alpha with a touch of sparkle on it. For girly LO's!

It's Magic elements and another tut
First things first: the freebie elements (and the last part of the It's Magic! kit). You can download by clicking the preview. It contains buttons, stars, a starry overlay, a wand with sparkles and see through bubbles.
Do you have any requests for my next freebie? Word-art, templates or another kit? And what kind of kit do you want? Let me know!

sorry, link has been removed!
And now another tut. This time I will explain the magic of the clipping mask. It's a simple way to design elements with your papers.
Step 1: Open a patterned paper, any paper will do.
----------------------------------------------------------
Step 2: make another layer (IMPORTANT!) and draw any shape on it. I made a star, color doesn't mather.
----------------------------------------------------------
Step 3: change the layer order, the shape should be UNDER the paper. You can't see it, but it's still there.
----------------------------------------------------------
Step 4: And now the magic trick! Move your mouse between the layers (where I draw the circle in the last image), hold the ALT-button on your keyboard (you'll see that your cursor changes now) and click. MAGIC! This is called the clipping mask, the paper is now clipped to your shape.
To use your shape, save it first or merge the layers. You have now created an element!
alpha It's Magic!

sorry, link has been removed!
And here is the alpha. More elements (including a tut) coming soon!
Some LO's I did
In between designing, I still have to make time to scrap pictures from my daughter Leonie. I don't want to fall behind on that, and I almost have a 3rd book finished for her.

new template
Again, a template (it does look like I have time to spare, doesn't it? Well, with a sick hubbie and a demanding daughter, everything has to go fast and in between other things... But I have a lot of new ideas I want to share with you!). This template is called Around the World, you can download by clicking the preview. Please leave me a message if you use my stuff, I love to see your LO's!
Paperpack 2 and a little tut

sorry, link has been removed!
Here's the seccond part of It's Magic, 5 more papers.
Someone asked me how I make my papers. It's hard to explain in simple words, but I'll show you one little trick. I use Photoshop, create 2 layers and use the Blending Mode 'overlay'.
Step 1: take a picture of a nice texture and resize it to 3600x3600 pixels (you may need to chop some bits off to make a square)

-----------------------------------------------------------
Step 2: add another layer, color it the way you want to and put this layer UNDER the texture layer

----------------------------------------------------------
Step 3: This is the trick! Select the texture-layer, and change the Blending Mode to 'overlay'

----------------------------------------------------------
Step 4: You paper should look something like this, the texture layer has the same color as the color-layer. Now you can finish your paper with brushes, gradients, borders or some more textures!

Go Holland!

I don't know if you like it (because I can see my visitors come from all over the world YEAH!), but I'm sharing it anyway. Click preview to download! (and by the way: if you are making a Dutch lay-out, you might as well use the orange alpha I made, and maybe you even like something I made for a color challenge, it has red and blue in it).

... but I had to finish this kit! It's a challenge at Piece-of-Cookie.com, a design-challenge. I don't know if I'm ready to be a 'real' designer yet (hey, I just started!), but I loved the colors. Hence the name: BrightColors!

new template
I joined a challenge in the ScrapOrchard forum, the so called Apple Cart challenge. You get to download a great freebie made by Ellie Lash, and get to play with it. I did a LO and liked it so much that I made a template of it! It's called Apple Blossom, and you can download the template by clicking the preview. Enjoy!

Don't forget to give me credit when you use the template, just link to my blog if you can. Thank you!
New kit!
I started working on a new kit yesterday: Fresh 'n Clean. I have a paperpack ready for you, please let me know what you think of it!

I think of making an add-on for the KIT2 later, because I have some files left that didn't make it into the kit. So come back if you want them LOL! And again: I would love to see what you did with my freebies, so if you have anything to show me... contact me!
