Another free alpha!

Since I have to wait till Friday for the next SunshineStudio mission, I thought it was time for another freebie. And it will be an alpha again!! This one is called ArtAlpha, and it's a doodley blue and black alpha with a paper texture. I hope you like it! I also will take the time to show you some LO's I did the past couple of days. Sometimes, when I'm stuck in the designing process, scrapping with other designers stuff helps me get going!






These three LO's were made with the kit CandyCornKids, made by SandraK Designs. She is a fairly new designer at ScrappyThoughts, you can get the kit here.

This LO I made for a Scraplifting Challenge on the GroovyScraps forum. I love scraplifting and I used my own Party with Greens kit for this one!

This is a LO for the Desktop Challenge in the Sunshine Wonderweek!! I used my mission #1 freebie for this one, and I'm so glad to have a November desktop :D My October desktop was ready just a few days ago... so shame on me!! new way for freebies

I have the feeling someone 'broke into' my 4Shared account... The files I keep there for my CT were downloaded more then 2 times, and last time I checked I only had 2 members ;). So I immediatly changed my password and the password of the CT-folder, but I don't feel completely save there...

And that's why I decided to try something new. I still want to hand out freebies from time to time, but they will only be available for my loyal blogreaders :D. I will upload them to 4Shared and will keep them there for a week. Then the freebie will be gone, and the item will go in store.

So, how will you know if I have freebies for you?? It's simple, just subscribe to my blog. On the left you'll find a subscription field. Just click the option 'posts' and you'll find a list of feedreaders. I'm a big fan of Google Reader, so I would choose that one. Then every time I have a new post (ok, this could be one without a freebie, but I promise to make it worthwhile ;)) you'll get a message in your feedreader. That way you won't miss any freebie!!

So, I've been cleaning up my EHD, and found some alpha's I did. I'll share one with you today, called Simply Alpha. It's a see through alpha with a grey tint.

Project Sunshine #1

I joined another contest (yes, crazy right??), this time at SunshineStudioScraps. For our first assignment we had to create a kit with a given swatch. This is what it turned out to be!

I created another commercial use product for my fellow designers: a pack of 10 crumpled paper overlays with dots and stripes. Just put a color layer on top, blend and you're done!! Easy as 'you know what', right?

Love me some borders!

I have a new CU item in the stores, it's called BorderLove. The pack contains 7 greyscaled borders and 7 examples of what you can do with them. I just added a color overlay and a stroke, but you could use a pattern overlay to add some texture too (think of glitters, papertexture, etc).

KJoi contest 'the reveal'

Finally I can give away my secret KJoi identity! For the past few weeks, I've called myself 24864A in the KJoi designer search. (you may remember me as the rubber ducky)
I've sent in 4 assignments to see if I was good enough to be on the KJoi design-team. It was so exciting, and so fun, but also very hard. I had to design in styles I never even heard of, and styles that didn't fit me very well.

The first week I had to create a shabby /altered style alpha. I didn't know what that meant, but after some explaination, this is what I came up with. I like it so much, I'm thinking of selling it!

For the second week I had to design in the 'other-category' in the fantasy style. OMG this was so hard!!! Not my style, AND no paper, no element, no alpha, just 'other'... I came up with these butterfly brushes, but when I saw everyone elses entry, I thought: Why didn't I come up with that?

The third week was fun, the colors brought my mojo right back! I had to do elements, not my favorite and they normally take a lot of time, but this time I had 10 (the max) in no time!

For the last week we we're given colors that didn't 'speak' to me... I just couldn't decide on a theme, and just started browsing some images to turn into brushes. And then I stumbled upon this lovely 'black capped chickedee' (or as we Dutchies call it: koolmeesje). THAT'S IT! And again, my papers were finished in no time.

And then we had to wait, wait and wait some more. The hardest part in this contest, if you ask me! Will I make the team or not, I kept checking my mail to see if the judgements were in yet...

Well, good for you to read all the way through here! You were here for the bloghop-freebie, weren't you? Well here is it: since I liked the colors in week 3 that much, I decided to make a paperpack to go along with the elements I created that week. Enjoy!
