The end of the year is aproaching rapidly, and I am thinking of the year that lies ahead. I hope to change some things in my scrapping-live (you'll be the first to know ;)), I hope we can get pregnant again real soon, there will be some changes in my working hours (less, yippie!), Leonie will be going to pre-school for the first time (she is growing so fast right now!) and I hope for many more beautiful things to come! For the rest of you: I hope 2009 will be even better then 2008! I don't know for sure if I will be posting again before the 31st, so I say it now ;)

Burning the midnight oil!!

I've been quite busy making scarves for christmas prezzies. And since scrapbooking is out of the question while knitting , I stayed up all night just to get some scrapping done w/ that cute new kit Bianca made in honor of my granddaughter, Rebecca. the kit is called Night Night, Rebecca..

aren't these pics just the cutest? notice Rebecca has fallen asleep with my computer on her lap and corndog in hand half eaten. Is that tired or what!! LOL!!

I participated in some challenge at GroovyScraps! You know that if you participate in them, you get a part of the designers collab, right? So if you participate in all challenges, you have the whole kit complete! Isn't that an awesome deal?? Well, it's nice to get a gift for posting, but I use the challenges to get some pages done. Designing takes away a lot of my scrapping time, so sitting down and doing some challenges helps me to stay on track ;)

Yes, another kit, what else can I say? I hate winter, but I love blue. As I was playing around with some overlays and blue, I created this wintery kit. My feet are cold as I'm typing this, I have a blanket around my shoulders and I really want to go to my warm bed with a good book, but I have to show you this!

I do hope I can snap some wintery pictures of Leonie to go with this kit, winters don't do well in the Netherlands... (or they do so... in MARCH! when everyone is waiting for spring)

LOL, this is Leonie playing with Wii Music. It is so funny to see her play with the [c'puter], she really loves Nintendogs on the DS. I have ordered Animal Crossing for the Wii, it was my all time favourite on the DS, so I'm really excited!

wow mega-mojo!

I finished another kit!! It is a total remake of the paperpack Chickadee, I turned it in as a 4th assignment in the KJoi contest. Well, the only things that are the same, are the swatch, the name, and the chickadee in one of the papers LOL! That is what you call a TOTAL remake ;)

I uploaded this kit and the BerryJam kit today, while doing a thousand other things. I hope I did it all ok, and that I didn't miss a step...

There's a story behind the colors of this kit. I once scrapped with a kit I loved, it had red, grey, black and white, and I loved the layout I created with it! It had pictures of my daughter (then still a baby) and my sister (she's 14 years younger then me but so proud to be Leonie's aunt ;)). I couldn't find the kit I used to look at the colors, and I didn't want to exactly copy the colors. So I took the LO, played with it at kuler and tada, a swatch was born. Only this swatch had blue in it, because Leonie was wearing a blue sweater that day. And I thought the blue fitted the swatch beautifuly!!
When I started creating this kit, I wanted to do a follow-up on Everlasting Dreams. That kit was about the dream of getting pregnant of having a baby/child. It ended up being a charity kit for an adoption cause. But this new kit wasn't dreamy at all, so it ended up being called just 'Brand New'. Which actualy matches my story of an old kit and an old LO being used to create a new kit LOL!
Well, enough talking, let's look at what's inside:

Ow, and I have been very busy! I sent some links to my CT to play with, a new kit called BrandNew LOL. But what they don't know is that I created another kit today! Yes, a whole kit! I haven't been feeling well yesterday, and since Leonie was at the babysitter (is there a word for toddlers for this? It's like a mini day-care) I decided to spend this day in bed. Thank god for laptops and wireless connections LOL. I rested ánd had time to play and design, and the result is a kit called BerryJam. I think I am going to have a one-kit-CT-call for this. I'll be posting about it at DigiShopTalk, but maybe you are interested and want to play with it right now?
