about me
I'm working on several things at the same time now, so you will get an update very soon ;)
In the mean time, I found this cool thing on Carol's blog! It's a questionaire, but you answer in pictures, which gives a cool collage. This is mine:

Here's how it works:
1. Type your answer to each of the questions below into Flickr Search.
2. Using only the first page, pick an image. (I picked every first image, to make it even more interesting!)
3. Copy and paste each of the URLs for the images into FD's Mosaic Maker. (I just copied and pasted myself ;))
2. Using only the first page, pick an image. (I picked every first image, to make it even more interesting!)
3. Copy and paste each of the URLs for the images into FD's Mosaic Maker. (I just copied and pasted myself ;))
The Questions and Answers (I got all pictures from Flickr, but don't have the credits, sorry!):
1. What is your first name? Bianca, the picture is showing Dama Bianca (white lady).
2. What is your favourite food? Chocolate (I actually typed chocolat LOL)
3. What high school did you go to? Dr. Nassau College, only Nassau College gave me results.
4. What is your favourite colour? Pink
5. Who is your celebrity crush? Hard one, I chose Jim Carey (but actually don't like this pic of him)
6. Favorite drink? Cola
7. Dream vacation? I would love to go to Australia some time!
8. Favorite dessert? Yoghurt with fruit.
9. What you want to be when you grow up? Old ;)
10. What do you love most in life? My family
11. One Word to describe you: Creative
12. Your Flickr name: Don't have one (I typed exactly that, and this is what came up LOL)
When looking for color swatches to work with, I always use Flickr images for inspiration. I would love to be a 'great' photographer once in my life, maybe when I retire LOL. So tell me, what's your inspiration?
Blue or Pink?
This is my latest creation (actually it has been in store for 2 days or so, I forgot to blog about it!!): "Blue or Pink, what do you think?" (no question, that's just the name ;))

Both the kit and the matching alpha's are available at Digital Paper Hearts, and are included in the $2 sale! Just mentioning ;) (images are linked)

This beautiful layout is created by Sarah, I love ultrasound pictures! Although I normally can't 'read' them (I mix up arms and legs, think the belly is the head, that sort of thing ;)), I can see a cute little nose on this pic :). Image is linked!

And this layout is by Jenny (ledigiscrapdejenny), and shows a handsome little fellow playing with a batton. I guess both of them liked the brown background paper LOL, but I have more layouts on the way! This image is linked too!
And a final announcement: I decided to close my GroovyScraps store. Working as a co-owner of Digital Paper Hearts just takes away too much of my time, and it didn't seem fair to stay at GroovyScraps while only advertising for DPH... I am very sad I have to leave, because I enjoyed my time there VERY MUCH! Untill I break-up-shop, all my items will be $2 there too.

Scrapping w/ "Funky Daydreams"
WOW.. it's been a month since I've done any scrapping. Guess a lazy spell hit me cause all I've been doing is watching my Reality TV shows. Had a quiet house tonight so I've scrapped thru the wee hours of the morning.
Here's some pages i did of pics taken recently of Rebecca on St Paddy's Day. She looks so cute holding her doll baby.. AND REBECCA WAS EVEN IN GREEN, that wasn't planned!!
I've used Bianca's newly released kit, "Funky Daydreams" available at Digital Paper Hearts - GroovyScraps. Take a look at her March 18th post for details.
You can see my pages at my SBF gallery, stop on over and leave some love.. Comments appreciated!!

Boys will be ... freebie!
Remember this?
This is the paperpack I created for the second round in the Scrap Matters contest (although they kicked me out in the first round ;)). In round 3 the contestants had to make an elementpack with their 2nd round paperpack, and us non-contestants could play along. So I did!
Meet the mini-kit: Boys Will Be ...

Funky Daydreams
My present to you my latest kit: Funky Daydreams! The name needs some explanation, I think. I was inspired by Leonie's new bed and sheets, I used those colors as a swatch and tried to come up with some flower shapes. So that's what the 'dream' part is about. But when I was creating this kit, it turned out to be not a sleepy kit, so that's why I switched to daydreams. That still sounded to dreamy and fairy-like to me, and this kit isn't that at all, so the title Funky Daydreams was born ;)
available at Digital Paper Hearts - GroovyScraps
A closer look at the papers and elements:
Wanna win this kit? Leave a comment about it, and I'll pick some lucky winners by the end of the week!

Service

First: I think I'm finding back my mojo *yay*! I have designed and scrapped with the pictures of Leonie's new bed, and it's turning into a colorful kit :D The journaling on the LO (sneakpeek LOL) is in Dutch, it says something like: sleeping in her new bed went really well! She woke up at 5.30, crying, cause she had a bad dream about a dragon. She didn't know where she were and was shivering, poor girl! I managed to calm her down without taking her out of bed, and at 6 she was ready to sleep again. We woke up again at 8, and she was already at our door. She climbed out of bed herself! (she is not a monkey kid, never was either, so this was an achievement LOL)
Well, you now know the colors of the new kit! I plan to finish it by Tuesday, so check back then!
Then... there's a new service in store! You may or may not know that I am a teacher, and therefore I love the teach. O wait, it's the other way around of course: I love to teach, and therefore I am a teacher! :D I recently scrapped with a new designers kit, and asked her if I could comment on the kit. I did so, checked the kit real quick and wrote her back my findings. She was happy, and I liked doing it! Soooo, why not doing that more often?
I now offer a Quality Check Service, I will check your kits, write a report on it, and offer you a Quality Checked Stamp if everything is ok. I will explain what I think is wrong, and I will blog about your kit if it has received it's stamp.

You can read more about this service in the store description. Someone already asked if I can arrange a 'monthly subscription' for this, and the answer is yes. Just shoot me an e-mail (contact info is at the bottom of my blog) and we'll talk about it! If you have any questions, shoot me an e-mail as well ;)
available at Digital Paper Hearts - GroovyScraps
There's a sale coming up at GroovyScraps: Kiss me, I'm Irish! It will contain a lot of fun products, I included some of my latest kits... for just $1! Only from March 16 till March 18, so hurry!

new CU stuff
To create the paperpack for ScrapMatters and because I lost some of my old patterns (uhm, lost? I hit 'delete' by accident... :(), I came up with some new patterns. I put them together in a PAT file for Photoshop as well as 10 seperate .jpg files. Included in the zip is a HOW TO USE file, to help you get started!

available at Digital Paper Hearts - GroovyScraps - Commercial-Use.ch
Leonie is sleeping in her 'big girl bed' for the first time tonight! She was immediately silent, so that's a good start LOL. We'll see how it goes, she normally sleeps all through the night till about 7.30 AM. We bought her blanket today, and as we were looking for the perfect pattern I saw lots of cool stuff to inspire me. Maybe there's a new kit coming from it!!

Still not back on track
I keep my mind busy with designing some small things, but I cannot get myself to design 'real stuff'... yet...
But luckily I got my part of another collab finished before this mess, so I'm just waiting for my partner in crime, then I can show you something beautiful again!!
In the mean time... I created a paperpack (I played along with the designers that DID make it to second round in the ScrapMatters Design Star Contest, check the gallery for more freebies! Remember to log in, you won't be able to view the freebies if you don't.)

click preview to download!
And I played with something else, and the result is this new avatar. What do you think?

Oops, I totally forgot to mention the award Tishia gave me! http://designsbytishia.blogspot.com/ Thanks so much, it feels really great to know at least someone out there likes what I do. I appreciate my readers so much!!!

Boohoo
A little thing about me: I am not a great 'loser'... It always feels like failing, and I really hate to fail. I remember playing board games with friends and family when I was a child, and if I lost I always wanted to play again. I was soooo bummed!! But one grows older and wiser, and so I learned how to take the losses. You think....
I joined the contest at ScrapMatters. I thought it would be really cool to sell in that store, I always read their blog. But the main goal for me was: to make it to second round. To make that, would mean I have skills enough to be 'interesting' as a designer. I have joined contests before, and I know not to think to much of it, because other designers are far better than I am. So my goal is a small one, right? Second round, I should be able to make that ONCE in my life, right?
Well... I got kicked out *again* after the first round :( Ok, we didn't actually get 'kicked'. We were treated great, and I am sure the judges were right in letting me go, but... it feels like failing again!! Arrrrggh!! I was so bummed, I actually thought of giving up designing, and just stick to scrapping and store-owning. It took me more then a day to get past this!! Am I stupid or what??
Ok, small talk is over ;) For the first round we had to make a mini-kit; 3 papers and 3 elements. I created more than that, and therefore had to weigh each item to see if it should be in the mini or not. I will give you access to every thing I created, so you'll see some doubles (like the tree, I tried to different textures, 1 made it into the mini, the other one didn't). So, just see what you can do with it! For more freebies in the same colors check the ScrapMatters gallery (you have to be registered to view the freebies).

Little things
I once saw a product by Nicole Seitler of Sugarplum paperie, and I was instantly in love with it! Let me see if I can get you a link...
store link: http://www.thedigichick.com/shop/product.php?productid=18934&cat=0&page=3 and http://www.thedigichick.com/shop/product.php?productid=18933&cat=0&page=3
It took me a while to do something with this inspiration, and off course... mine are not as cute as hers, but still: with Easter in my mind I created Little Easter Things.

You'll find 30 elements in 6 colors (6 eggs, 6 gel glitter circles, 6 paper swirls, 6 buttons and 6 glitter scattered elements), all small and tiny, all .png files. Spice up your LO!!
available at Digital Paper Hearts - GroovyScraps
I don't know if you missed them already, but 20 of my products are now gone for good. And I also took out the CU grab bag, it is waiting to be split and sold seperately. I hope you got the deal while it was hot!!
Don't forget my current sales!! (sales are always listed at the top of my blog, but for you Google-Readers out there: Digital Paper Hearts = -50% till next Sunday, GroovyScraps = -40% till March 7!)
