Boohoo
A little thing about me: I am not a great 'loser'... It always feels like failing, and I really hate to fail. I remember playing board games with friends and family when I was a child, and if I lost I always wanted to play again. I was soooo bummed!! But one grows older and wiser, and so I learned how to take the losses. You think....
I joined the contest at ScrapMatters. I thought it would be really cool to sell in that store, I always read their blog. But the main goal for me was: to make it to second round. To make that, would mean I have skills enough to be 'interesting' as a designer. I have joined contests before, and I know not to think to much of it, because other designers are far better than I am. So my goal is a small one, right? Second round, I should be able to make that ONCE in my life, right?
Well... I got kicked out *again* after the first round :( Ok, we didn't actually get 'kicked'. We were treated great, and I am sure the judges were right in letting me go, but... it feels like failing again!! Arrrrggh!! I was so bummed, I actually thought of giving up designing, and just stick to scrapping and store-owning. It took me more then a day to get past this!! Am I stupid or what??
Ok, small talk is over ;) For the first round we had to make a mini-kit; 3 papers and 3 elements. I created more than that, and therefore had to weigh each item to see if it should be in the mini or not. I will give you access to every thing I created, so you'll see some doubles (like the tree, I tried to different textures, 1 made it into the mini, the other one didn't). So, just see what you can do with it! For more freebies in the same colors check the ScrapMatters gallery (you have to be registered to view the freebies).

Love this kit...Thank you! :)
Thanks so much for sharing. You did a great job on this kit.
I like your kit! Don't give up :)
LOVE the kit! Couldn't download it however, said you were out of bandwidth...maybe you can re link it somewhere else for those of us that didn't get in the first 24 hours? thanks! I'll definitely look at the scrapmatters though.
I LOVE the kit also but had the same problem as the last comment did.
I think your designs are great. I love the trees. They are really cute. seems a lot of other people like this kit too. When I tryed to download both parts gave me an error message that said "This user is out of bandwidth." So I could not download them ;(
I scooped up your mini kit at ScrapMatters. I too, am surprised your work did not advance to round 2. I love the tree and it's amazing texture. Plus, as usual, the papers did not look as good in the preview as they do "in real life". I was so pleased when I opened and peeked at them. Please keep up all your fine work. We would surely miss it. Thank you for "Time Stood Still" and all it's extras.
you have an award on my blog :)
